Girl Pit was founded by Liv and Jess, born from years spent navigating tough crowds on the dance floor, they carved out a space of their own. What began as a mantra –  “that’s so girl pit,” “she’s so girl pit” – evolved into a movement to bring joy and connection on the dance floor, one Girl Pit sticker at a time!

Girl Pit was launched at Coachella in 2025 as both a rave collective and their DJ duo name. They began by DJing local house parties, and shortly after began a series of lakeside community DJ sets in their neighborhood of Echo Park. During Portola Festival in San Francisco, they performed Vol.1 of their Shake Ass or Leave series at The Felix which honed in on their sound of feral underground bangers. They are also resident DJs for DS Night Market booked by Leiminspace in Chinatown. On the horizon, they are planning an off-the-grid desert renegade in Joshua Tree during the 2026 Spring Equinox and will also be popping up at Lightning in a Bottle in May 2026.
